 2025 Workshops

Mocktails and Mulling Spices

Did you know traditional holiday drinks are nutrient dense and have medicinal properties? That the familiar holiday aromatics everyone loves, like clove cinnamon and orange can contribute to your health and well being? Would you like to offer your loved ones tasty and healthy alternatives to sugary treats and drinks this holiday season? We have some ideas!

In this workshop we will:
Turn a kombucha scoby into fruit leather
Create basic yeast starters to take home
Learn basic fermenting principles and techniques and associated health benefits
Learn how to create your own wild crafted sodas at home (even in the middle of winter!)
Make mocktails, healthy non-alcoholic alternatives to cocktails
Learn how mulling spices can turn your home into a warm inviting space as an alternative to toxic candles and greet your holiday guests with a warm mug of spiced apple cider or wine

Character Doll Class or

How to Make a Wilderkin!

This is a two day class. I provide the clay and materials (clay, styrofoam, wire, tape, paint, glue etc). I am starting with 3 or 4 people so I can be right there for you as you're working to advise along the way.

We will learn about different types of clays (air dry and oven dry), tools, armatures, tips and tricks and all aspects of completing a character doll (wilderkin). We'll start with assembly of the head on the first day and the body on the 2nd.

Since this is the first class I am offering as much time as necessary to complete the project, if you need more time, I am willing to extend the timeframe for you.

If this interests you, I will reserve your space, contact Mari at 719-439-7303 or mugsyspad@aol.com

Build Your Own Workshop

Do you have an idea of what you would like to learn from a longtime herbalist? Whether it be your own personal family health care to your business; ie: herb, health or beauty industry. If you have a group of like-minded people who would like to learn with you from the garden to the end product, let's get together and build a workshop focused on your specific area of interest.
